Lent

Diana Mitchell,
spiritual director, will lead a Week of Directed Prayer March
14-20. Please contact Diana (419-341-9803) for more
information.
Just in case our
regular “Nursery Lady,” Jane Benson, cannot be here at some
time, we’d like to create a list of people who’d be willing to
serve in the nursery during worship. Please see Norris Hinds or
Pastor Jeanne if you’re willing.
Chapel On The
Lake, in Marblehead, will sponsor a fundraiser for Haiti at
Harbor Lanes Bowling Alley on Saturday, March 6, from 5:00 to
9:00 p.m. (Bowling is $2 per person and bowling shoes $2.) The
evening will include raffle items, a 50/50 drawing, face
painting, balloons, and D.J. entertainment. The money collected
will be sent to Kids Against Hunger, a Minnesota-based
organization that has been working in Haiti for many years.
The WCWA will be
meeting on Monday, March 8, at 5:30 PM. Tina and Rebecca will be
available with snacks, drinks, and the answers to all your
coffee questions: “What is a Latte?...How do they make Expresso?...What
do they mean by added flavors?...What is Chai tea?” Call Lori
Madison with Questions.
This year the
deacons are planning a brunch after service on March 28. This
will save the rush on Easter Sunday between services. Please
sign up to bring a breakfast casserole, fruit, or baked goods.
We will be
learning over the next few Sundays those who have been assisted
through OGHS. On Palm and Easter Sundays, we will be accepting
your response to Jesus’ question, “do you love me?” Please
prayerfully consider giving generously to this offering.
If you are a
leader in the church or in your professional life, you may be
interested in this “family systems” workshop, to be held at
First Presbyterian, Findlay, on Saturday, May 1, from 9:00 to
3:30. See Pastor Jeanne for more information.
