The Firelands Presbyterian Church Preschool Center is nondenominational, but clearly espousing Christian values, we are committed to providing a caring environment where our goals will be achieved through activities appropriate to the developmental age of the children.

Our goals are:

1. To provide a healthy, clean and safe environment, where each child will have opportunities available to develop physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and linguistically through daily planned activities appropriate to their age.

2. To provide learning centers where each child may choose activities such as: blocks, puzzles, books, musical instruments, dramatic play, creative arts and crafts, games, toys and science activities.

3. To encourage self-expression through language activities in large group activities, learning centers and individually.

4. To encourage each child to participate in a variety of daily activities, designed to enhance the child’s confidence and feelings of self-worth.

5. To prepare preschool children for success in kindergarten.

We believe that children are a gift of God, each one unique and valuable, deserving the best possible early childhood experiences. Also, that God has called us to nurture and protect our children so that they may grow to become whole adult persons, knowing the love and truth of God.
